Camila Gaza Manly is a designer and artist based in Montreal, QC. She began her career in lighting design in early 2021 with the project Lys von Asta: 100 Days of Creative Prototyping. This project involved creating one paper lamp prototype per day for one hundred consecutive days. This exercise in creative exploration provided a strong foundation for the lamps she makes today. Many of her current products are based on the original prototypes developed during Lys von Asta. Her work is informed and inspired by her German and Danish heritage, as well as the natural world around her.
